Mainly used for augmentation of various oral soft tissues, alveolar ridge reconstruction, enlargement of the local gingiva to increase keratinized tissue around teeth and implants, guided tissue regeneration for covering recessed/atrophic root defects, and gingival coverage of extraction sockets. Made from type I collagen extracted from healthy bovine Achilles tendon by freeze-drying, it is a white porous absorbable collagen sponge for oral use, supplied sterile and for single use only, with good histocompatibility and complete absorbability.
