Composition Co 51.0±2%, Cr 30.0±2%, Mo 7.0±1%, Ni 10.0±1%, Si 1.1±1%, Mn ≤1.0%, C ≤1.0%; beryllium and cadmium each ≤0.02%. Indications Type 4 and 5 removable partial dentures. Key features 1. Vacuum melting and refining give high purity and a brighter polished surface. 2. High strength and hardness give clasps good spring-back, easy seating and removal. 3. Appropriate ductility keeps clasps adjustable without breaking. 4. Balanced chemistry gives good casting fluidity.
