Roughing (wave-edge) end mill available as a three-flute aluminium rougher and a four-flute steel rougher: four-flute 55-degree bronze coated, four-flute 65-degree nano-blue coated, and three-flute 62-degree uncoated for aluminium. Swiss Platit coating plus secondary passivation takes the edge progressively from unpassivated to single and then double passivation, giving smoother, finer cutting, a better surface finish and a longer service life. The wave-edge geometry breaks and clears chips during roughing, making it suitable for roughing and stock removal in aluminium and steel, with coating and hardness grade chosen from the workpiece suitability chart.
