Mainly used for filling, hemostasis and wound healing of extraction sockets. Made from type I collagen extracted from healthy bovine Achilles tendon by freeze-drying, it is a white porous absorbable collagen sponge for oral use, supplied sterile and for single use only. It has good histocompatibility and complete absorbability, its porous structure favors absorption of wound exudate and it degrades in the body; it is intended for socket filling after extraction to stop bleeding and to act as a physical barrier.
