Mainly used for protection of the sinus floor mucosa during maxillary sinus elevation, as well as for repair of oral mucosal defects, keratinized gingiva and superficial soft tissue defects. Made from type I collagen extracted from healthy bovine Achilles tendon by freeze-drying, it is a white porous absorbable collagen sponge for oral use, supplied sterile and for single use only. It provides good histocompatibility and complete absorbability, its porous structure favors absorption of wound exudate, and it degrades and is absorbed in the body.
