Mainly used to close the wound in socket preservation procedures and to cover and seal extraction socket wounds, as well as for wound closure in immediate implant placement. Made from type I collagen extracted from healthy bovine Achilles tendon by freeze-drying, it is a white porous absorbable collagen sponge for oral use, supplied sterile and for single use only, with good histocompatibility and complete absorbability; its porous structure favors absorption of exudate and it degrades in the body.
