The product is to be used together with bone graft material, acting as a physical barrier that prevents displacement of the filling material. Indications include socket filling after extraction and after residual root removal, alveolar ridge restoration and repair of alveolar bone defects caused by periodontal disease. It is produced from bovine Achilles tendon tissue through a series of processes and has a double-layer structure with a smooth side and a rough side; its main component is collagen and it degrades in the body. It is supplied sterile and sterilized by irradiation.
