Wrap Around Retainer (Full Arch)

Product description

A retainer used after orthodontic treatment to maintain alignment and occlusion and prevent relapse. Hawley-type structure: palatal or lingual acrylic base with labial bow and clasps; the full-arch type covers both arches. The rigid base and wire hold the dentition at the finished position against relapse, while allowing physiological occlusal settling. Indicated after fixed appliance treatment, after early interceptive treatment and for relapse prevention. Wearing protocol: full-time for 6-12 months after treatment, then night-time only with gradual reduction; retention usually at least 2 years with review every 6 months. Made individually from the finished model or intraoral scan.
