The Sedga implant system combines a two-stage ultra-narrow design with ultra-short implant designs. The body is made of cold-worked grade 4 pure titanium, which the manufacturer states has a tensile strength above 700 MPa, 27 per cent higher than conventional pure titanium, and biocompatibility tested to the full ISO 10993-1 series. The surface is a super-clean large-grit sandblasted and acid-etched SLA treatment that produces a honeycomb multi-level structure with 20 to 60 micron primary pores and 2 to 6 micron secondary pores. The body is root-analogous with wide threads and a self-tapping design, and an external insertion groove allows safe placement of ultra-short implants. The abutment connection uses a true Morse taper seal with a half angle of 1.5 degrees or less, supplemented by a central screw.
