Product description
30-degree trapezoidal (TR) single-tooth thread mill for trapezoidal threads such as lead screws, in metric and inch versions. Made from micro-grain carbide with Swiss technology and a Platit PVD vacuum coating, it has a universal round shank that clamps firmly without slipping and a fully ground round edge combination that is sharp, wear resistant, with stable chip evacuation and smooth cutting. The new edge design cuts without chipping; good wear resistance, high hardness and long life are further helped by secondary passivation for corrosion resistance, leaving no tool marks or burrs. It suits carbon steel, alloy steel, pre-hardened and hardened steel, stainless steel, ductile iron, copper alloy, aluminium alloy, titanium alloy and heat-resistant alloy on CNC machining centres.
