Precision-ground tungsten carbide rod, brand Fuma, made from micro-grain carbide stock at HRC65 working hardness for long, consistent service. Rods are supplied in 0.1-50 mm outside diameter steps with diameter tolerance from -0.001/-0.005 to -0.001/-0.009, runout of 0.0025-0.018 mm over 30-330 mm lengths, Ra0.4 surface roughness and 0.4+0.15 to 1.6+0.4 mm end chamfers. The rod can be ground into cutting tools such as pointed cutters, end mills, drills and turning tools, and is also used to cut cast iron, non-ferrous metals, plastics, chemical fibre, graphite, glass, stone, ordinary steel and stainless steel and other difficult materials, with good rigidity and wear resistance.
